Soga Forest Chalet
The villa you chose is no longer available for rental from us but we have a portfolio of Elite Havens in various locations around South East Asia for you to choose from. Alternatively feel free to send us an enquiry and it'll be our pleasure to help you find the perfect villa for your next holiday.
Leaves rustle as a gentle mountain breeze blows through the trees. Sunlight filters through the forest canopy, casting long shadows that dance across the floor. The large windows frame views of the forest in every direction. From the sway of a summer afternoon breeze to the stillness of a winter morning, Soga Forest Chalet connects you with nature and provides a calming backdrop for your stay in Niseko.
A mere five-minute drive from three different ski resorts, shops, and restaurants, the chalet’s quiet setting belies its convenient location. After an exhilarating but tiring day on the slopes, the bustle of the resorts and the weight of everyday life seem to disappear the moment you return to your scenic sanctuary.
Its open-plan living area is the heart of the chalet. Anchored by a large kitchen and wrapped in forest view windows, this space makes everyday moments a natural social experience. Friends and family gather to share meals and stories, lingering at the table long after dinner to play one more game of cards or to cosy on the couch to binge one more episode before retiring for the night.
The chalet’s three ensuite bedrooms, view bath soaking tub, and serene surrounds ensure comfort and restorative rest after active days exploring Niseko. It is an ideal retreat that feels completely removed from it all, but that places you minutes from the world-class skiing, exceptional dining, and soothing onsen that make Niseko so special.

The Soga Forest Chalet is approximately a two-hour drive from New Chitose Airport (Sapporo). The chalet itself is located within a quiet stand of Hokkaido Forest at the foot of Mt. Annupuri, home to the world's best powder skiing resorts. Located on a quiet, dead-end road within a network of gravel roads and country lanes running between the Niseko Village and Annupuri ski resorts, Soga Forest Chalet stands in peaceful contrast to Niseko’s busy resort bases thanks to both the privacy afforded by its location and its intimate connection to Hokkaido's natural environment.
Despite its tranquil seclusion, Niseko’s amenities remain moments away: the Niseko United ski areas of Annupuri and Niseko Village, Moiwa Ski Resort and its day-use onsen, and numerous local restaurants and shops are all within five minutes of the chalet. In summer, the chalet serves as a fantastic jumping-off point to access the region’s dozens of golf courses, quiet beaches, scenic cycling and mountain biking routes, alpine hiking trails, and countless other opportunities for seasonal exploration.
More information for Things to doOur Concierge team is on-hand to give you all the local information you need. They can also make restaurant reservations for you or help rent sports equipment as well as arrange ski lift passes. With our competent team at your service, leave all your worries behind. Though the area has a plethora of activities, here are our top choices for things to do in Niseko, regardless of the season you visit:
- Grill your own Jingisukan at Niseko Loft Club. Jingisukan is a Hokkaido specialty of savoury marinated lamb and local veggies; Loft Club is perhaps the best place to enjoy this in the entire Niseko region.
- Ski the world-famous powder snow of Niseko, starting from the nearby resort bases of Niseko Village or Annupuri to access the world-class Niseko United collective of resorts, or starting from Mt. Moiwa for a more local and low-key experience.
- Take a restorative dip in one of the region’s natural onsen hot springs. Every onsen offers different properties, as each draws from different subterranean sources. High on the backside of Mt. Annupuri sits Goshiki onsen, a favorite thanks to its dramatic views of the peak and exceptional water quality.
- Go wine tasting in Yoichi. This seaside town is home to a growing number of boutique wineries as well as the historic Nikka Whisky Distillery. For family outings, the area's sprawling orchards also offer seasonal fruit picking through summer and autumn.
- Try mountain biking in Niseko’s growing network of trails. From thrilling lift-accessed downhill riding in the ski resorts to more relaxing gravel road routes, Niseko offers mountain biking experiences for all kinds of riders.
- Visit the farmers' markets at Niseko View Plaza and throughout the region. The region’s fertile volcanic soil produces bountiful harvests and delicious seasonal vegetables perfect for bringing back to the chalet kitchen.
- Cool off in one of the region’s rivers. On hot summer days, Minato Beach in Rankoshi is just over a 30-minute drive away, while tranquil beaches along the Shiribetsu River offer perfect spots for a refreshing swim.

Our partner, Niseko Gourmet offers provisioning services wherein handpicked Hokkaido produce will be brought to your doorstep, along with all the groceries you need.
However, a day on the slopes can get tiring. If you’re not in the mood to cook, why not order in a gourmet meal? For an indulgent experience, ask our Concierge to set up a Niseko Gourmet dinner in your chalet.
