The Atma Bali
The Atma Bali
The villa you chose is no longer available for rental from us but we have a portfolio of Elite Havens in various locations around South East Asia for you to choose from. Alternatively feel free to send us an enquiry and it'll be our pleasure to help you find the perfect villa for your next holiday.
At The Atma Bali, calm has been carefully curated through every design detail. A seated stone Buddha greets each guest at the entrance, setting a serene, contemplative tone. You wake each day in a soothing room of warm timber and woven rattan, soft earth-toned linens still cool as morning light floods gently into the room. Make your way down to the pool, where a fruity drink and a good book can hold you happily until lunch. Later, you might opt for the ten-minute walk to Mertasari Beach for a swim or stand-up paddle, or take a bicycle along the beachfront path for a cold coconut, sipped seaside.
Set across three light-filled storeys and linked by a glass lift, this Sanur villa is made for togetherness. Its natural materials and earthy textures cocoon groups in a deep sense of restful seclusion. Paintings depicting colorful scenes of Balinese life and culture create interest along each wall, while an open kitchen and ten-seater dining table invite long, lingering meals. Upstairs, a rooftop pavilion crowned in hand-carved timber draws everyone together for evening gatherings around the bar or big-screen cinema. A private gym and games room keep all generations happily occupied, while an experienced, Elite Havens team is always on hand to anticipate and meet every guest’s need.
When the island calls, it is all within reach: a stroll to the beach, a boat to Lembongan island from Sanur Harbour, or a day trip to Ubud's temples and terraces. When it doesn't, the pool, the rooftop pavilion and the company of your people are more than enough. It is this balance, between adventure and ease, that makes The Atma Bali such a natural fit for all-age families and groups of friends.

The Atma Bali rests on a quiet lane in Mertasari, at the southern end of Sanur along Bali's sunrise-facing east coast. It is close enough to the beach for an easy morning walk, yet tucked away from the hum of the main streets. Sanur is the island's original beach town, the place where Bali tourism first took root, and it has held onto a gentler, more village-like character than the busier neighborhoods elsewhere on the island.
It is a pace that rewards those seeking a slower pace. A reef sitting well offshore breaks the ocean swell long before it reaches the shore, leaving the water calm and shallow, which is ideal for swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, and reassuring for families with young children. Mertasari is also home to one of the few small surf breaks in Sanur, gentle enough for beginners to find their feet. Because the coast faces east, mornings here begin with the sun rising straight from the sea, reason enough to set an early alarm at least once during your stay.
The villa makes an effortless base for exploring further afield. A flat, paved beachfront path runs around five kilometres along the seaside, shaded by mature trees and lined with warungs, cafés and the colourful jukung fishing boats of local fishermen. And when you fancy a change of scene, Bali's Icon Mall, the boat harbour for the Nusa islands, and the cultural draw of Ubud are all within easy reach.
More information for Things to doThe Atma Bali sits on a quiet lane in Mertasari, one of Sanur's most relaxed neighborhoods on Bali's south-east coast. The golden sand of Mertasari Beach is an easy, ten-minute stroll past local warungs (casual eateries), coffee shops and restaurants. Sanur's famous beachfront path, made for an early-morning walk or bicycle ride, is close at hand, along with the calm, reef-protected waters that make this coast a favourite among families of young children. Ngurah Rai International Airport is an easy 20-30 minute drive away, depending on traffic, while Bali’s Icon Mall, the harbour for boats to Lembongan and Nusa Penida islands, and the cultural pull of Ubud are all within comfortable reach of this Sanur villa.
Your Villa Manager has a wealth of information about nearby places of interest and will help make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the local area. Many of them live nearby and will be able to give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of Bali life.
