Batu Belig Beach is just 1.2km away, an easy choice for a morning walk or sunset on the sand. Petitenget Beach is 2.4km away, with the restaurants and boutiques of Seminyak continuing south along the coast. In the other direction, Berawa leads you into Canggu, with its cafés, surf beaches and lively social scene.

More information for Things to doBoasting a prime central location, Akkulla’s Batu Belig setting puts beaches, Seminyak/Petitenget and the route north towards Berawa and Canggu within easy reach. Explore the best of Bali, and when you need a moment of respite, your private pool villa sanctuary welcomes you back into its quiet embrace. The Elite Concierge can help arrange transport or make any reservations that you may need. Meanwhile, here are some amazing places for you to discover while staying at Akkulla.
- Beach Clubs, Sunsets and Dining - Start close to home at Batu Belig and Petitenget beaches. Spend an afternoon at Potato Head, with its beachfront pool, food, music and cultural programme, or follow one of Bali’s longest-running sunset traditions at KU DE TA on Seminyak Beach. Potato Head is a beach club where you can swim through the day before music takes over at night, while KU DE TA moves naturally from breakfast and poolside lunches into sunset drinks and dinner. From there, head north through Berawa into Canggu for another side of Bali’s beach life, or south through Seminyak for restaurants, boutiques and bars. The pleasure of staying at Akkulla is that all of this is close enough to dip into whenever you feel like it — and your own pool, space and privacy are waiting when you come back.
- Boutiques & Cafes in Seminyak - Spend a morning browsing Seminyak’s boutiques and cafés, stay for lunch, then continue towards Petitenget for the beach and sunset. This established stretch of the coast brings together dining, shopping and several of Bali’s best-known beach venues, so it works equally well for a few hours out or an entire day.
- Surf Beaches at Canggu - Head north through Berawa towards Canggu for surf beaches, cafés, restaurants and a younger, more informal social scene. Beach clubs and sunset venues line this part of the coast, while the streets behind them are filled with places for coffee, brunch and dinner.
- For Families - Smiley Playground gives families an option close to home, while Parklife Bali and Waterbom Bali make larger outings when younger guests want a change of scene. The beaches around Batu Belig, Petitenget and Canggu also make it easy to keep family days simple.
- Culture and Bali Day Trips - When you want to see another side of Bali, make a day of the island’s temples, rice landscapes and traditional towns. Ubud and central Bali bring galleries, craft, temples and greener scenery, while Tanah Lot combines one of Bali’s best-known temples with a dramatic coastal setting.
- Ubud and Central Bali - Leave the coast for the day and head towards Ubud for temples, galleries, markets and the lush landscapes of central Bali. Continue into the surrounding countryside for rice terraces and traditional villages before returning to Akkulla in the evening.
- Beaches and Surfing - Batu Belig and Petitenget are the nearest stretches of sand, while Berawa and the beaches of Canggu take you deeper into Bali’s surf culture. Whether you want an early walk, time on the sand or somewhere to watch the sun go down, the west coast gives you plenty of choices close to Akkulla.
- Spa and Beauty - Book a treatment at the adjoining spa and keep the day deliberately slow. A massage after a morning out, an afternoon treatment or a little time to yourself can all fit around the rest of your plans without requiring another journey.
- Health and Fitness - Join a Pilates or yoga session, try an ice bath or explore the wellness centre’s oxygen treatments. You can make wellness a focal point of the stay or simply dip into it when the mood takes you.
- Poolside Dining and Barbecues - Ask the team to arrange a poolside barbecue and make dinner part of the villa experience. With your own pool and living spaces around you, there is no need to go out every evening.
- Families and Childcare - Smiley Playground gives younger guests their own place to spend time while parents enjoy the spa, wellness facilities or a little quiet time. A nanny can also be arranged on request.
- Ding Ding and Karaoke - Stay close to home for hot pot at Ding Ding, then move into one of its high-tech private karaoke rooms and keep the evening going. With rooms open late, it offers a night out without having to travel across Bali.
