Sleeps 12 Adults

Perched on a headland with panoramic ocean views, Villa Samira is a stylish holiday home with six bedrooms and a talented team of staff offering the ultimate luxury escape.  Samira, which means ‘cool breeze’, lies on Phuket’s coveted west coast near Kamala Beach.

The sea and sunset views here are superb, made even more dramatic when framed by Samira’s grand entrance.  Steep roofs evoke Thai traditions while clean lines and modern, sumptuous interiors surround you with comfort and elegance.  Events here are picture perfect; holidays with family and friends, sublime.

Savour sun-kissed afternoons in the 17-metre swimming pool and jacuzzi, or gather and relax in front of the projector screen in the media room or at the pool table in the games room.  Spend an hour or two enjoying a restorative treatment in the private spa room or simply unwind in Samira’s opulent indoor and outdoor lounging areas.  Indulge in delicious Thai cuisine and hearty breakfasts in the smart dining room or in the tropical breeze by the pool, with Samira’s skilled personal chef at your service for all meals.

Samira’s six bedrooms each boast abundant space and complete privacy.  The king-bedded master suite is a lavish retreat with its own jacuzzi plunge pool on a private terrace, an outdoor double bathtub and spacious ensuite bathroom.  Two more guest bedrooms have ocean-view bathtubs in their bright ensuite bathrooms while the three bedrooms on the lower floor offer sea views and private bathrooms with showers.

Found within a peaceful secure estate, Samira is secluded from Phuket’s busy resort areas yet the island’s top leisure, dining and shopping spots are still within easy reach.  The nightlife of Patong is 15 minutes away by car while within a 30-minute drive are quiet white-sand beaches, golf courses, luxury spas and more. Your villa manager is on hand to help arrange transport and excursions, and to do everything possible to ensure a perfect stay.

Location

Villa Samira is one of a handful of luxury private villas in the Cape Amarin estate.  This exclusive estate lies on a headland between Kamala and Patong beaches, along a sought-after stretch of Phuket’s west coast known as ‘Millionaires’ Mile’.  Set on the hillside with spectacular ocean views, the villa overlooks a small bay.  Just six kilometres to the north is Kamala Beach, a two-kilometre curve of soft golden sand and shallow waters.  Popular with families, it’s an inviting beach for surfing, body boarding or simply relaxing on the sand, with several open-air restaurants lining the beach.  About 15 minutes by car to the south is Patong Beach, Phuket’s infamous party town with a good range of water sports, shopping and dining choices beyond its neon-lit bar scene.

More information for Things to do

Though it might be tempting to spend your entire holiday ensconced within Samira’s peaceful realm, there’s plenty to see and do beyond the villa.  With enticing soft sands and sunsets, exploring Phuket’s west coast beaches could keep you busy for days, while the island has many cultural sights worth visiting as well.

Check with your villa manager about recommended local activities and attractions, and she’ll help arrange bookings and transport.  In the meantime, here is just a sample of some of the varied activities on offer around Phuket.

  1. Charter a luxury yacht for a day cruise on the Andaman Sea. The towering karsts of Phang Nga Bay beckon while the clear waters of the Raya, Similan and Maithon islands offer fantastic places to snorkel, dive and swim.

  2. Enjoy some sea activities closer to shore with windsurfing, kite surfing, sea kayaking or stand-up paddling sessions.

  3. Take the family out for a Thai theatrical spectacle at Phuket FantaSea, or for a wet and wild day out at Splash Jungle water park. Or take a spin down the world’s largest zorbing ball course at the Rollerball Zorbing park near Patong.

  4. Indulge in an elaborate spa treatment at one of Phuket’s well known luxury spas including the Banyan Tree or nearby Paresa resort, or unwind in more simple style with a beachside Thai massage in the shade of an umbrella.

  5. Explore the streets of Old Phuket on a cultural walking tour. Learn about the history behind the island’s cultural mix, take in the colour and beauty of the Sino-Portuguese style shops and mansions and sample the local eats that earned Phuket a UNESCO ‘city of gastronomy’ accolade.

  6. Learn the secrets behind making some of this exotic and flavourful cuisine yourself by joining a Thai cookery class.

  7. Book a tee-off time at one of Phuket’s scenic golf courses including Laguna Phuket Golf Club, Blue Canyon and Mission Hills.

  8. Escape into the island’s diverse and daring after-dark scene from stylish cocktail and wine bars to waterside sunset lounges to raucous nightclubs in Patong.

  9. Reconnect with nature in the island’s interior with elephant and horseback riding, ATV trail rides, waterfalls and jungle walks, the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, zip-lining at Hanuman World, cable wakeboarding, agricultural tours and more.

  10. Hunt for bargains, local treasures and brand names at Jungceylon shopping centre in Patong or along the resort city’s lively street bazaars with arts and crafts, clothing, gadgets, souvenirs and more for sale.
