Find your space in six-bedroom Villa Vie, perched high above the picturesque island of Koh Samui. Enviable views from this eagle’s nest high up in the lush mountains of Samui promise photo opportunities aplenty. From the changing hues of the skies as the sun rises over the sea in front, to the calming sea views from every bedroom, or rather, every corner in this villa, your experience here is all about visual delight.
Delight comes in many forms. It’s in the modern architecture characterised by high ceilings and sliding glass doors all around. Art lovers will delight in the display of modernism, from sculptures to paintings and framed photography, the villa is a museum of modernism. Even the choice of furniture such as asymmetrical side tables or beaten metal coffee tables hint at an aesthetic that design connoisseurs will appreciate.
With six ensuite bedrooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone. The villa is built over five levels, ensuring privacy for all and space to spread out. Large, king-size beds promise a night of restful sleep, so you can wake up refreshed and enjoy all that the villa has to offer.
Kids will love the movie theatre on the lowest level, with sofa seating for movie nights with popcorn. Meanwhile, young adults may decide to stake claim to the full-fledged game room and make it their den. And why not, with a brand-new pool table and foosball at their disposal. Not to be left behind, you and your friends can enjoy a game of pool as well, perhaps with a cocktail on the side, with all bar accessories available for your use. Fitness and wellness go hand-in-hand at Villa Vie and a well-equipped gym keeps you in shape, before you succumb to the pleasures of an in-villa spa treatment in the adjacent spa corner.
Located inside an exclusive mountain-top estate, Villa Vie offers a tranquil stay. The excitement of Chaweng however, is only 10-minutes away by car. The villa’s serene mountain-top location is best enjoyed when you have a chauffeured car at your disposal for excursions, which the Elite Concierge can arrange for you on request (extra charge).

Location
Villa Vie is located halfway up a mountain, allowing a bird’s eye view of the island from Bophut headland all the way across Chaweng. The location is merely 15-minutes away from the airport. A 10-minute drive also takes you to Central Samui and the vibrant beachside restaurants of Chaweng, Koh Samui’s most active nightlife area. Fisherman’s Village, a more sophisticated and equally beautiful stretch of shops and beachside restaurants is 20-25 minutes away by car.
The estate, halfway up the mountain, is accessed via very steep roads, best traversed on four-wheel drives. At the base of the mountain, you will find supermarkets, local eateries and a taxi stand. It is recommended that you hire a car with a driver for your island excursions. The Villa Manager can take care of this for you, or just let the Elite Concierge handle all your transport requirements. Having a car on stand-by will give your group peace of mind so you can head out whenever you wish, even if it is to have a drink or pick up something from the supermarket.
More information for Things to doKoh Samui retains its dreamy vibe and a laid-back feel. Although the island is renowned for its palm-fringed beaches and clear blue sea, it has much to offer visitors of all ages. Whether on a family holiday with little ones or teenagers, a group of friends looking for shared experiences, or those seeking the action of the island’s beach clubs and nightlife, Samui has something for you.
Your Villa Manager can make all the necessary arrangements for you to enjoy your chosen pursuits. Here are some suggestions:
- Fisherman’s Village & Night Market | If there’s one place you must visit in Samui, it is this. A trendy walking market with fancy boutiques, charming beachside restaurants, and a splattering of elegant beach clubs, Fisherman’s Village comes alive every evening. If you’re missing the crowds, come here on a Friday evening for the ‘Night Market.’ And don’t miss the fire-eating entertainment on the beach in front of Coco Tam, one of our favourite beach clubs on the island.
- Luxury Island Cruising | Charter the luxury 44-foot catamaran Odyssey for the day and sail out to glorious coconut-palm-covered islands for a sublime day of swimming, snorkelling, and exploring beautiful, untouched beaches. Pull in for lunch at one of several beachside restaurants or order a luxury picnic basket and choose your anchorage for a taste of unspoiled paradise. The catamaran is available for private charter for daytime, sunset, and overnight cruises to Samui’s neighbouring islands of Koh Phangan, Koh Madsum, Koh Tan, and the archipelago of Ang Thong National Marine Park – a protected collection of 42 dramatic karst islands surrounded by sea teeming with exotic fish and beautiful corals.
- A Day at the Beach | Spend a day with your toes in the sand at one of the island’s many beautiful sandy beaches. Just nearby are the bays of Chaweng, Bophut, Big Buddha, and Choeng Mon, all with a variety of beachside facilities and restaurants. Further afield, the deserted palm-fringed beaches at Bang Po and Laem Nai on the northwest coast are a popular spot for their rustic beachfront restaurants and stunning views of Ang Thong and Koh Phangan islands.
- Meet Samui's Gentle Giants at Elephant Haven | Pay a visit to one of Samui’s leading ethical elephant sanctuaries, Elephant Haven. Home to 18 magnificent Asian elephants and their offspring, Elephant Haven offers visitors a wonderful up-close-and-personal experience with these extraordinary, gentle giants in a safe and natural environment. The sanctuary offers tours hosted by professional, informative, and empathetic guides. Visitors are invited to feed the elephants, follow them around the sanctuary as the young ones play and frolic in water pools, and observe them in their natural habitat. - A Unique Thai Cooking Experience in the Heart of the Jungle | Samui’s celebrated jungle cooking school, Tamarind Tree, offers an authentic and thoroughly enjoyable Thai cooking experience. High up in the island’s lush green mountains, Tamarind Tree invites guests into its organic gardens to gather exotic ingredients for the dishes they will prepare, using tools and techniques unchanged from the traditional methods used for centuries. Thereafter, you get to enjoy your culinary handiwork accompanied by singing cicadas and the greenery of the jungle. Tamarind Tree offers half-day classes as well as private classes. - World-class Golfing in Samui | Santiburi Samui Country Club is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Asia and the island’s only championship 18-hole, par-72 golf course. Stretching along the hills of the northern coastline with spectacular elevations from 25 - 180 meters above sea level, it is often called a ‘slice of heaven.’ This challenging course is surrounded by natural rainforest and coconut-palm plantations, with distracting views of the mountains and ocean at every turn, making it an oasis of pure golfing pleasure.
- Samui’s Spirit of Adventure | Sports and adventure enthusiasts of all ages will be thrilled by the variety of action activities available on Samui. Choose from kite surfing at Nathon, off-road safaris on three and four-wheeled ATVs or 4WDs, bungee jumping, zip-lining through the rainforest, canopy walks, and waterfall hikes to Muay Thai boxing tournaments and high-speed go-karts, to name a few.
- Tour the Island’s Temples and Waterfalls | Take a tour of this beautiful island to see the waterfalls and temples. Nearby is Samui’s most iconic landmark, the golden Big Buddha, and its impressive neighbour, Plai Laem Wat. Further south in Lamai, visit the enigmatic ‘Mummy Monk’ at Wat Khunaram, the island’s most famous mummified monk, and nearby Wat Sila Ngu or Red Temple. Then head home through the mountains via stunning waterfalls, magnificent scenery, and aerial views of the island.
