Translated as ‘Church Village’, Igreha Vaddo is a community of luxury villas set in a sprawling complex in Siolim, North Goa. The gated community is surrounded by a vast forest and each of its villas is interconnected with a cobbled walkway. Despite being in the heart of North Goa, the complex is quiet and secluded, offering the tranquil vacation you’ve been craving for.
Characteristic of all the Igreha Vaddo villas, Villa D has high ceilings, cream walls, and idiosyncratic tiles, while being around a cluster of mango, banyan and cashew trees. The living room is central to this home, with an inverted balcony looking down upon it from the entry passage. A circular, eight-seater dining table is the place to sit back, relax, chat, perhaps play some board games or enjoy music with friends and family.
For those who like their TV time (or ‘me’ time), there’s a den with a balcony facing the pool and garden, where you can happily while away many afternoons. The den has a sofa bed which can be pulled out to accommodate one extra person (additional charge). The pool deck is fabulous for parties, with provision for alfresco dining and a bar. Lined with green plants, the alfresco dining area is soothing to city-weary eyes.
Cook your family’s favourite dishes in the villa’s well-equipped kitchen or leave your dining needs to the staff. A cook can be hired at extra cost to provide delicious Indian, western and Asian fare.
The entry-level boasts an idyllic balcony overlooking the pool and surrounding foliage. With plenty of seating and eclectic decor like wooden masks, antique mirrors, potted plants and daybeds, it is a favoured spot for evening cocktails and chit chat.
