With front-row seats to the natural splendour of the three Gili Islands scattered across the ever-changing blue ocean, you’ll never want to leave Leq Bale once you arrive. And why would you? Perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of Mentigi Bay, this little haven is paradise rediscovered. White stone walls and soaring ceilings may hint at the Mediterranean, but the swaying palms and breathtaking views of the Gilis remind you that this is Lombok — an Indonesian paradise where every desire of the heart feels fulfilled.
Built over two levels, Leq Bale is an exquisite five-bedroom luxury pool villa in north-west Lombok. Just half an hour from Senggigi, it feels a lifetime away from everything but bliss. An open-air living room with a gurgling fountain in the back gives new meaning to ‘island living’. Though there are plenty of air-conditioned spaces to retreat to, you may find yourself lingering here, with the fresh sea breeze in your hair and the magnificence of the Gilis in front of you. Two birds swoop and play, a sailboat cruises by. Time slows down here, and you find your shoulders relaxing, and your worries melting away as well.
Come meal times, you are spoilt for choice. Perched on a secluded hilltop above Mentigi Bay on Lombok’s northwest coast, Leq Bale enjoys sweeping panoramas across the turquoise Bali Strait towards the Gili Islands — easily reachable via a 10-minute speedboat ride from the bay’s transfer point, within walking distance of the villa and where guests can rent boats for water activities. The area itself remains blissfully quiet, with Pantai Mentigi’s small sandy beach tucked below the hill, and a handful of boutique stays and local operators offering reef trips, diving, and private-boat excursions to hidden coves. At sunset, the hilltop vantage points here are among the most dramatic in Lombok.
Beyond the bay, the laid-back town of Tanjung is only a short drive away for its colourful market, temples and cafés. Golf enthusiasts will find the oceanfront Kosaido Golf Club close by, while Senggigi’s lively beachside dining and bars can be reached in under half an hour along a scenic coastal road. Lombok International Airport is around 90 minutes by car, making Leq Bale both a peaceful retreat and a convenient base for exploring northern Lombok and the Gilis.

- Seahorse and Macro Diving — Mentigi Bay (also known as Seahorse Bay) offers one of Lombok’s best muck dives. Snorkel or dive to discover pipefish, ribbon eels, frogfish, and (if luck is on your side) flamboyant cuttlefish in rich macro life just off the shores.
- Visit the Famous Gilis — Just around 10 minutes by speedboat, the Gili Islands are a must-see. Gili Air and Gili Meno offer serene beaches and calm snorkeling; Gili Trawangan adds livelier dining, bars and a laid-back hippie-chic atmosphere.
- West Lombok Cruise — Embark from Mentigi Bay on a full-day cruise along Lombok’s west coast. Swim, snorkel or relax aboard while discovering Gili Layar and Gili Asahan, and enjoy sunset views over rugged coastline. The Elite Concierge can arrange a private boat for your day excursion.

An approximately 2-3 hour drive brings you to this lush hinterland with gentle trails that open onto beautiful waterfalls with pools at the bottom. The talented in-house chef shall prepare a delicious and healthy daily breakfast for your group to start the day well. Enjoy family-style lunches on the large wooden table in Leq Bale’s dining room, with glass sliding doors on three sides lending it a feeling of dining in a gorgeous green house. The chef and Villa Manager will discuss your group’s requirements and meals will be prepared fresh as per your taste and preferences. Dinner can be an alfresco affair under the stars at the poolside ten-seater table. Barbecue on your mind? No problem. At Leq Bale, your wish is our command.
Our kitchen specialises in showcasing traditional Lombok and Indonesian cuisine, using the freshest locally sourced ingredients, including an abundant selection of seafood, tropical fruits, and vegetables. We also offer an array of western favourites, delighting you with familiar flavours. Meals can be fully customised as per your taste and preferences. We are also well-equipped to accommodate special requests, dietary needs, and children's meals.
Groceries and beverages are charged at cost price, plus a 20% handling fee and tax. Guests may be requested by the Villa Manager to provide cash in advance to cover provisioning, and our staff will provide all receipts for your reference. We highly recommend discussing and planning your meals well in advance.
