Found within the exclusive and secure Baan Yamu estate on Cape Yamu, Villa Abiente offers a tranquil escape perfect for exploring Phuket’s east-coast sights. Within the estate is a modern collection of residences and villas, with a restaurant and bar, one of the island’s largest swimming pools, and an air-conditioned gym available for guests. Opposite Baan Yamu is a seaside promenade and small pier, a pleasant area for an evening stroll, and where kayaks and speedboats are available for hire. The sunrise views over the bay will encourage early morning starts, and Villa Abiente’s easy access to local marinas make a Phang Nga Bay cruise a must. Between the east coast’s calm bays dotted with long-tail fishing boats, lush forested hillsides and acres of rubber-plantations are some surprisingly upscale dining choices including top Phuket restaurant Breeze at Cape Yamu, renowned for its long lazy Sunday brunches.

- Go surfing at one of Phuket’s west-coast beaches including Kalim just north of Patong Beach and Kamala, or if conditions allow hire a SUP board and explore the coastline by paddle. Private dining at Villa Abiente is a fine chance to explore Thai cuisine and meals can be fully customised to suit guests’ tastes, pace and level of spice. Daily breakfast is included in the villa rate and the chef is on hand to prepare all other meals from the suggestion menu, which features some delicious local dishes as well as kid-friendly, vegetarian and western choices.
Villa Abiente has a fully equipped guest kitchen for those who wish to prepare their own meals or snacks, and a choice of dining areas. Whether you are in the mood for a formal meal in the bright dining room, a quick nibble at the breakfast bar, poolside tapas and cocktails in the sunken lounge, this villa has it covered.
Groceries are charged at market price plus a 20% handling fee and a government tax, with a minimum shopping fee of THB 750. Guests are encouraged to plan their meals at least a day in advance with a chef. Villa staff will take care of all the shopping and keep the receipts for reference.
